Pompano Beach dance studio moves to new location after 25 years
ProAm Dance Studio has a new location to call home.
After spending 25 years at its former site, the Pompano Beach-based dance studio recently moved to 880 N. Federal Highway, opening an updated facility with larger and brighter dance spaces. ProAm Dance Studio owner and director Melanie Gibbs, along with Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin and other community officials, celebrated the opening of the studio with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on March 3.
“The previous owners had opened in Fort Lauderdale originally and then moved to Pompano Beach about 25 years ago. My partner and myself took over in 2015,” Gibbs said. “We just moved our location over winter break in the middle of a global pandemic. So not great timing, but the ribbon-cutting was really a celebration of kind of what we picture as ProAm Studio 2.0, which is our vision for the studio within the next 50 years.”
